There are two honest answers to “what is the cheapest Vietnam e-visa?”. The cheapest possible is the official government site, where you pay only the government fee. The cheapest with someone checking your application is our Standard tier. This page shows what each price is made of, so you can tell a real low price from a number that only looks low.
Quick answer:
- Cheapest possible: $25 on evisa.gov.vn for single entry, or $50 for multiple entry. That is the government fee, and you do everything yourself
- Cheapest with our help: Standard $50, government fee included, about 3 working days
- Nothing below $25 can be the full price of a real application, because the government fee alone is $25
- Already applied and short of time: Speed Up from $70, so you do not pay for a second application
- Each traveler, including each child, needs their own e-visa and pays their own fee
What a Vietnam E-Visa Price Is Made Of
Every price has the same backbone. The government fee is paid to Vietnamese immigration, not to us, and it does not change with your nationality or your route. Whatever sits above it pays for work done on your file.
| Part of the price | What it is | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Government fee | Paid to Vietnamese immigration at submission. The same for every nationality and every route | $25 single entry · $50 multiple entry |
| Service fee | Our document check, submission and support | Standard: $25 on top of the government fee |
| Speed | Faster handling, which takes more dedicated staff time | Rises as the tier gets faster |
So our Standard price of $50 is the $25 government fee plus $25 for checking and submitting your application. Faster tiers add handling time on top of that. Multiple entry adds $25 to any tier.
Why Nothing Below $25 Is a Real Price
The government fee alone is $25, so no price below $25 can be the full price of a real application. When you see an advertised $9, $15 or $19, the useful question is what the total will be at the last step. Sometimes the government fee is added late. Sometimes the offer does not include the submission at all. We cannot tell which from the headline, so check the final total, what it includes, and how you pay, before you send any documents.
- What is the final total, in US dollars, before I enter my card?
- Is the government fee inside that total, or added afterwards?
- Who submits the application, and when do I get a reference code?
- Is the payment by card or PayPal, so it can be traced?
The Cheapest Route for Your Situation
| Your situation | Lowest sensible option | Total | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| More than two weeks away, confident with the form | evisa.gov.vn, self-service | $25 | You do every check yourself and there is time to fix a mistake |
| More than two weeks away, want a second pair of eyes | Our Standard tier | $50 | Your documents are checked before submission, at the lowest price we offer |
| Flight in 3 to 7 days | 3-Day | $90 | Choose the slowest tier that still fits. Do not pay for speed you do not need |
| Already applied on evisa.gov.vn and the file is stalled | Speed Up | from $70 | You do not pay for a second application, and a duplicate can hold both |
| Flight tomorrow | 1-Day | $110 | Submit before 11:00 Vietnam time on a weekday |
| Flight today | 5-Hour down to 30–60 minutes | $125 to $215 | The time in Vietnam decides which tiers are still open |
| Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday | Weekend batch | $230 (or $210 to speed up) | Weekday tiers do not run. Cutoff 15:00 Vietnam time |
Weekday tiers run Monday to Friday during Vietnamese working hours, each with a cutoff time. See our urgent visa service page for the cutoffs in your time zone.
When the $25 Route Is Right, and When It Is Not
The official site is the cheapest way to get a Vietnam e-visa, and many travelers use it without trouble. The honest trade-off is that the cheapest route costs the most time and attention. You do the checks, and nobody tells you what you have missed.
The mistakes that cause trouble are small ones, and the form accepts most of them at submission. An airport code for a transit hub, a phone photo in the wrong format, a middle name left out. If your trip is weeks away, you have time to notice and fix any of these. If it is days away, a problem found late can cost far more than the $25 you saved. That is the real dividing line: not how confident you feel, but how much time you have to recover.
Where People Overspend
- Paying for speed they do not need. Choose the slowest tier that still fits your flight.
- Choosing 30 days. 30 and 90 days cost the same, and validity cannot be changed after approval. 90 days gives you room at no cost.
- Adding multiple entry by default. It adds $25 and only matters if you leave Vietnam and come back, for example a day trip to Cambodia or Laos. A domestic flight does not count; crossing the Vietnamese border does.
- Applying twice. A duplicate under the same passport can hold both files and means paying twice.
- Applying so late that only the fastest tier is left. Applying a week earlier is the cheapest upgrade there is.
- Skipping the data check. A correction or a second application costs more than ten minutes of care.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cheapest Vietnam e-visa in 2026?
The cheapest possible is $25 on evisa.gov.vn for single entry ($50 for multiple entry), where you do everything yourself. The cheapest with our help is the Standard tier at $50, government fee included.
Can any agency charge less than $25?
Not for the full application. The government fee alone is $25. If you see a lower number, check the final total at the last step and whether the government fee is added afterwards.
Why does Standard cost $50 when the government charges $25?
$50 is the $25 government fee plus $25 for checking your documents, submitting the application and supporting you. If you do not need that, you can apply directly at evisa.gov.vn.
Is there a cheaper option if I already applied on evisa.gov.vn?
Yes. Speed Up starts from $70 and costs less than a new application at the same speed. Do not reapply, because a duplicate can hold both files. Send WhatsApp the reference code, registered email and flight number.
Does a cheaper price mean a worse e-visa?
No. The approved e-visa is the same document whatever you pay. The difference is who checks your application and how fast it is handled, and no price guarantees approval.
Do children need their own e-visa?
Yes. Each traveler, including each child, needs a separate e-visa and pays the fee.
What is the cheapest same-day option?
It depends on the time in Vietnam. The 1-Day tier ($110) needs a submission before 11:00 Vietnam time on a weekday. Within hours the options are 5-Hour ($125), 2.5-Hour ($155), 1.5-Hour ($185) and 30–60 minutes ($215), each with a cutoff. The official site has no paid fast option.
What is the refund policy?
100% refund if we cannot complete your visa, or if we do not complete it within the timeframe we committed to. Confirm the price, the time and the refund, including how the government fee is treated, in writing on WhatsApp before you pay.
