Vietnam Emergency Visa – Get Visa in 1.5 Hour | VietnamVisaEasy

Quick Answer

The fastest Vietnam eVisa VietnamVisaEasy issues is 1.5 hours — not 1 hour. The price is USD 185 all-in (including the USD 25 government fee). It is available Monday–Friday only, and your order must be placed before 16:30 Vietnam Time (09:30 GMT / 10:30 CET / 04:30 EDT).

If your flight is within hours and you have not yet applied, choose the 1.5-Hour service. If you already have a government portal application in progress, use Emergency Speed Up (USD 190) instead — do not reapply.

Who Needs the 1.5-Hour eVisa

This service is built for travelers who are already at the airport, about to leave for the airport, or departing within the next few hours on a Monday through Friday. You have not yet applied through the Vietnamese government portal and you need an approved eVisa before you board or before airline check-in closes.

If any of these apply, the 1.5-Hour tier is the right choice. If you already submitted an application and it is stuck in processing, scroll to the Speed Up section below.

What the 1.5-Hour eVisa Service Covers

VietnamVisaEasy submits and manages your complete eVisa application through the Vietnamese government portal (evisa.gov.vn). The USD 185 fee covers:

  • The USD 25 Vietnamese government fee — no second payment required
  • Document review and form completion by the VietnamVisaEasy team
  • Expedited submission in the priority queue
  • Delivery of your approved eVisa by email within 1.5 hours of order confirmation
  • Support from the VietnamVisaEasy team via WhatsApp for any issues

Your eVisa is valid for either 30 or 90 days — your choice at time of application. Entry ports covered: Tan Son Nhat (SGN), Noi Bai (HAN), Da Nang (DAD), Phu Quoc (PQC), and Cam Ranh (CXR).

Order Deadline — Read Before You Apply

Your payment must clear by 16:30 VNT Monday–Friday. Orders placed after this time cannot be fulfilled same-day. The Vietnamese government's immigration portal does not process applications outside official working hours.

16:30 VNT in other time zones:

  • 09:30 GMT (London winter) / 10:30 BST (London summer)
  • 10:30 CET / 11:30 CEST
  • 04:30 EDT / 01:30 PDT
  • 19:30 AEST (Sydney)

Full Pricing — All Tiers

All prices are all-in for a new application, including the USD 25 government fee. Speed Up prices apply when you already have a reference code from the government portal — the USD 25 fee is not charged again.

Tier Price Days Cutoff (VNT)
1.5-Hour eVisa USD 185 Mon–Fri only 16:30
2.5-Hour eVisa USD 155 Mon–Fri only 16:30
Emergency Speed Up (existing application) USD 190 Mon–Fri only 16:30
Weekend / Holiday eVisa USD 230 Sat / Sun / Holidays 15:00
Weekend Speed Up (existing application) USD 210 Sat / Sun / Holidays 15:00

Weekend note: There is no 1.5-Hour tier on Saturdays, Sundays, or Vietnamese public holidays. The Weekend/Holiday service (USD 230) is the only new-application option those days, with a cutoff of 15:00 VNT. There is no refund for orders that miss the cutoff.

1.5-Hour vs 2.5-Hour — Which Should You Choose

Both tiers are Monday–Friday with the same 16:30 VNT cutoff. The only difference is speed and price:

  • 1.5-Hour (USD 185): Choose this if your check-in opens within 2 hours, your flight departs in 3–4 hours, or you cannot afford any delay. The USD 30 premium buys you one extra hour of buffer.
  • 2.5-Hour (USD 155): Choose this if your departure is 4–5 hours away and you have comfortable time before check-in. Same cutoff, lower cost.

If there is any doubt, choose the 1.5-Hour tier. A missed flight costs far more than USD 30.

1.5-Hour vs Emergency Speed Up — Which Applies to You

This is a critical distinction. The wrong choice can delay your visa further.

Situation Correct Service Price
You have NOT yet applied anywhere 1.5-Hour eVisa USD 185
You applied via evisa.gov.vn and have a reference code starting E260705... Emergency Speed Up USD 190

Do not reapply if you already have a reference code. Submitting a duplicate application triggers a 24–48 hour hold on both applications. Use Emergency Speed Up and provide: (1) your reference code, (2) the email you registered with, (3) your flight number to Vietnam.

Emergency Speed Up does not charge the USD 25 government fee a second time because the fee was already paid with your original application.

Boarding Approval Letter — When Your eVisa Is Not Yet Approved at Check-In

The Vietnamese government pauses eVisa processing between approximately 12:00 and 13:30 VNT every working day. If your eVisa is in the queue during this window and you need to check in, VietnamVisaEasy can issue a Boarding Approval Letter within 30 minutes.

Airlines accept this letter at the gate. Your eVisa is delivered by email once the government portal reopens at 13:30 VNT. The Boarding Approval Letter service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

If your flight is tonight or you are at the airport right now and your visa has not arrived, contact VietnamVisaEasy via WhatsApp immediately.

Tan Son Nhat (SGN) — Pre-Arrival Declaration Required

If you are flying into Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat Airport, SGN), you must complete a pre-arrival health and entry declaration at prearrival.immigration.gov.vn before boarding. This requirement has been in place since 15 April 2026. Your eVisa alone is not sufficient — complete the declaration once your visa is approved and before your departure gate closes.

How to Apply for the 1.5-Hour eVisa

1

Check the time. Confirm it is before 16:30 VNT Monday–Friday. If it is after 16:30 on a weekday, or it is a weekend or public holiday, see the Weekend/Holiday service instead.

2

Go to the application page. Visit vietnamvisaeasy.com/apply and select the 1.5-Hour tier.

3

Complete the form and upload documents. You need a valid passport (minimum 6 months remaining validity), a passport photo, your Vietnam arrival date, entry port, and visa duration (30 or 90 days).

4

Pay USD 185. Payment confirms your order and starts the clock. Card, bank transfer, and other methods accepted.

5

Receive your eVisa by email within 1.5 hours. Save a digital and printed copy. Verify the details at evisa.gov.vn before boarding.

Monday–Friday only. Order before 16:30 VNT.

Important Notes Before You Apply

  • The entry date on your eVisa must be your arrival date in Vietnam, not your departure date from home.
  • Vietnam Visa on Arrival is not a current option for tourist travelers. Only the eVisa process applies.
  • Children require their own separate eVisa. Adding a child to an adult application risks invalidating the entire family's visa.
  • British passport holders are visa-exempt for up to 45 days and do not need an eVisa.
  • There is no refund for orders that miss the cutoff or where the traveler provides incorrect information.
  • Verify your approved eVisa at evisa.gov.vn before going to the airport.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the fastest Vietnam eVisa really 1 hour?

No. The fastest tier VietnamVisaEasy offers is 1.5 hours, not 1 hour. This is the real minimum turnaround achievable through the Vietnamese government portal on business days. Any service claiming true 1-hour delivery should be verified carefully.

What is the exact cutoff time for the 1.5-Hour eVisa?

16:30 Vietnam Time (VNT), Monday through Friday. In practice this means 09:30 GMT, 10:30 CET, and 04:30 EDT. Your payment must clear before this time. Orders placed even a few minutes late cannot be processed the same day.

Is the 1.5-Hour tier available on weekends and public holidays?

No. The 1.5-Hour and 2.5-Hour tiers are Monday–Friday business days only. On Saturdays, Sundays, and Vietnamese public holidays, the only new-application option is the Weekend/Holiday service at USD 230 with a 15:00 VNT cutoff.

I already applied on the government website and it is still processing. What should I do?

Do not submit a new application. Use the Emergency Speed Up service (USD 190). Provide your reference code (format: E260705...), the email address you registered with, and your flight number. VietnamVisaEasy escalates your existing application. A duplicate application creates a 24–48 hour hold on both.

Does USD 185 include the government fee?

Yes. The USD 185 price is all-in and includes the USD 25 Vietnamese government fee. You will not be asked for any additional payment.

What is a Boarding Approval Letter and when is it used?

If your eVisa has not yet arrived at check-in time, or if it is queued during the 12:00–13:30 VNT processing pause, VietnamVisaEasy issues a Boarding Approval Letter within 30 minutes. Airlines accept this document. The full eVisa follows by email. This service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Can I get a Vietnam eVisa for 30 or 90 days?

Yes. Both 30-day and 90-day eVisas are available at the same price. You select the length when completing your application form.

Is there a pre-arrival requirement for Tan Son Nhat (SGN) airport?

Yes. Travelers entering through Tan Son Nhat airport (Ho Chi Minh City) must complete a pre-arrival declaration at prearrival.immigration.gov.vn before boarding. This requirement applies since 15 April 2026. Complete it after your eVisa is approved and before your gate closes.
