How to Apply, Step by Step

1. Check you need a visa. Some nationalities are visa-free for up to 45 days. USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India and China are not. See Vietnam visa requirements.
2. Check your passport. It must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive, with a blank page.
3. Prepare two files. A passport photo page scan and a portrait photo, both JPEG and under 2 MB. Convert iPhone HEIC files first.
4. Choose validity and entry type. Pick 90 days: it costs the same as 30. Single entry is standard. Multiple entry adds USD 25 and cannot be changed after approval.
5. Enter the arrival date and port. The date you land in Vietnam, and the Vietnamese airport where your last flight lands (SGN, HAN, DAD, PQC or CXR). Not a transit hub.
6. Submit and pay. Do this from outside Vietnam. On the official site you pay the government fee. With us, the price shown includes the USD 25 fee.
7. Receive and check the e-visa. It arrives by email as a PDF. Check your name, date of birth and passport number against your passport, and carry a printed copy.

Short of Time? Cutoffs in Your Time Zone

Each tier has a last moment to submit, in Vietnam time (UTC+7, no daylight saving). Delivery time runs from submission, and weekday tiers run Monday to Friday. The weekend tier (USD 230) has a cutoff of 15:00 Vietnam time on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

After You Apply

• Check your email, including spam, for an approval or an amendment request.
• You can check status at evisa.gov.vn/e-visa/search with your registration code and registered email.
• Do not reapply on top of a pending file. A duplicate can hold both files and means paying the government fee twice. Ask for a Speed Up instead.
