Every tier below delivers the same approved Vietnam e-visa. The only difference is how much processing time is available before your flight, and what that speed costs. Applying earlier is the cheapest upgrade there is, so it pays to find your row honestly:

The single best move: if you have more than a week, the Standard tier at $50 gives you the same e-visa as the $185 tier, and with four or more days a $90 application costs far less than waiting and paying for hours.

What “1 Day” Really Means
The 1-Day tier is counted in Vietnamese working days. Saturdays, Sundays and Vietnamese public holidays do not count, and the weekday tiers do not run on them. So the question is not how many calendar days you have, but how many working days fall between your submission and your check-in.
- Submit before the cutoff. The 1-Day cutoff is 11:00 Vietnam time on a weekday. A submission after it behaves like the next working day. Ask support to confirm when your result is due.
- Friday evening is the classic mistake. Submitting late on a Friday and expecting delivery by the weekend does not work. The clock realistically starts on Monday.
- A public holiday takes a working day out. If one falls in your window, step up a tier or apply earlier.

Applying From the US or Canada: Mind the Day
Vietnam is 11 to 15 hours ahead of the US and Canada depending on your zone and daylight time. An evening submission at home often lands early in the Vietnamese working day, which can work in your favor. The risk runs the other way on Fridays: a Friday evening in the US is already Saturday in Vietnam, where no weekday tier runs. Office Closed and Flying Tonight?
If it is outside Vietnamese working hours and you fly tonight, message WhatsApp support with your flight number. A boarding letter can be issued around the clock, including weekends and holidays, to help bridge check-in while the e-visa is processed once the office reopens.
About the boarding letter: it is a letter from us confirming that your e-visa application is in process. It is not a visa, and whether an airline accepts it is the airline’s decision, so we cannot guarantee it. Your approved e-visa is still needed at Vietnamese immigration. Already Applied and Still “Processing”?
Do not submit a second application. A duplicate under the same passport can hold both files, so it does not speed anything up. Ask for a speed-up of the application you already have.

What Commonly Causes Delays
- A blurry passport scan, glare or cropped edges.
- An unclear machine-readable zone on the passport photo page.
- A name that does not match the passport, especially middle names and hyphenated surnames.
- A photo in the wrong format, such as an iPhone HEIC file.
- A transit hub entered as the entry port instead of the Vietnamese airport.
- Submitting right before a weekend or a Vietnamese public holiday.
