If your flight to Vietnam is within hours and you do not yet have an approved e-visa, urgent processing is available. The fastest tier — Emergency — delivers an approved Vietnam e-visa in 30–60 minutes on business days. The 1.5-Hour tier delivers within 90 minutes. This page covers every urgent option: what each tier costs, when the daily cutoffs apply, how to Speed Up a pending application, and what mistakes to avoid when every minute counts.
Already have a pending application? Do not submit a new one — duplicate applications cause a 24–48 hour hold on both. Contact VietnamVisaEasy with your reference number and we will escalate your existing application. No second government fee.

Emergency tier: contact us first
The Emergency tier (30–60 min) requires direct contact before applying. Message VietnamVisaEasy via WhatsApp with your passport details, flight number, and departure time. Processing can only begin once documents are confirmed complete — an incomplete submission cannot be expedited.
All Urgent Processing Tiers — Full Fee Table
New application fees include the USD 25 Vietnamese government fee. Speed Up fees do not — they escalate an existing pending application with no second government charge. Select 90-day single-entry validity on all applications — same price, maximum flexibility.

Weekend rule — important
The Weekend / Holiday tier is the only urgent option on Saturdays, Sundays, and Vietnamese public holidays. The Emergency tier and all other weekday tiers are not available on weekends. Submit and pay before 15:00 Vietnam time to be processed the same day.
Daily Cutoff Times by Timezone
All processing runs on Vietnam time (VNT, UTC+7). Applications submitted and paid before the cutoff are processed within the tier's stated time on that business day. Applications received after the cutoff move to the next business day — not the same evening.
| Tier | Vietnam (VNT) | Singapore / KL (SGT) | Bangkok (ICT) | Sydney AEST / AEDT | London (GMT/BST) |

Already Applied? Speed Up Your Existing Application
If you submitted an application and your travel date has moved closer, a Speed Up escalates your existing pending application to a faster tier. This costs significantly less than a new application because the USD 25 Vietnamese government fee has already been paid — no second charge applies.
To request a Speed Up, contact VietnamVisaEasy via WhatsApp with your reference number (format: E260705...) and your flight details. Processing can typically begin within minutes of the request being confirmed.
Why you must not submit a second application
When two applications for the same person are active at the same time, the Vietnamese immigration system flags both and places them on hold for 24–48 hours. This applies even if the second application is at an urgent tier. The only safe route to faster processing when you already have a pending application is a Speed Up on the existing one.
How to Apply for Urgent Processing
Check the cutoff time for your tier.
All cutoffs are in Vietnam time (UTC+7). If you are applying from overseas, convert carefully — missing the cutoff by even one minute moves your application to the next business day. The table above shows major timezone equivalents.
Prepare all documents before starting the form.
You need: a JPG or PNG scan of your passport bio-data page (not HEIC); a passport-style photo with white or light grey background; your Vietnam arrival date (the date the plane lands in Vietnam, not your departure date); and the code for your Vietnamese entry airport (SGN, HAN, DAD, PQC, or CXR). An incomplete submission cannot be processed urgently.
Submit your application and select the correct urgent tier.
Apply at vietnamvisaeasy.com/apply. Enter your personal details exactly as they appear in your passport — name order, middle names, and passport number must match precisely. Select 90-day validity. For the Emergency tier, contact us via WhatsApp before submitting.
Pay to start the clock.
Processing begins the moment payment is confirmed — not when the form is submitted. Pay as quickly as possible to avoid a cutoff miss. Do not pay twice.
Receive your visa and verify every detail.
Your approved e-visa arrives by email. Before going to the airport, check that the name, passport number, entry date, and entry port match your passport and booking exactly. Even a small discrepancy can cause problems at immigration. Verify status at evisa.gov.vn.
Mistakes That Waste Time on Urgent Applications
When time is short, any error on your application can mean the difference between catching your flight and missing it. These are the most common problems — all avoidable.
| Mistake | What happens | How to avoid it |
|---|---|---|
| Wrong entry port | Visa invalid at the actual airport — denied entry | List the Vietnamese airport where you clear immigration (SGN, HAN, DAD, PQC, CXR). Never list a connecting airport outside Vietnam. |
| Wrong entry date | Visa not valid on actual arrival day | Use the date your plane lands in Vietnam. If you fly overnight and land the next morning, the landing date is the entry date. |
| HEIC photo format | Amendment Required — processing paused until corrected | Convert to JPG before uploading. iPhone users: go to Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. |
| Submitting after cutoff | Application moves to next business day | Check Vietnam time before submitting. Do not assume your local evening is still within Vietnam's business hours. |
| Duplicate application | 24–48 hour hold on both applications | Contact VietnamVisaEasy instead. Speed Up escalates your existing application — no new application needed. |
| Name mismatch | Denied boarding or denied at immigration | Copy the name exactly from the passport — including middle names, name order, and hyphenation. Do not use a nickname or shortened form. |
Arriving at Ho Chi Minh City (SGN)? Pre-Arrival Declaration Required
From 15 April 2026, all passengers arriving at Tan Son Nhat Airport must complete a pre-arrival declaration online at prearrival.immigration.gov.vn before boarding. This is mandatory for all nationalities, separate from the e-visa, and must be done before you get on the plane — not on arrival.
