Wrong Entry Port: Why It Is the Most Dangerous Error

The entry port field asks for the IATA code of the Vietnamese airport where you will first clear immigration. It does not ask for your departure airport or any transit hub. The evisa.gov.vn portal accepts transit hub codes without flagging them — this is why the error is so common and so damaging. The application looks successful at submission. The error only surfaces during immigration review, days later, by which point processing has stopped completely.
