Missing Middle Name vs Passport MRZ

The name on the eVisa must match the passport MRZ (Machine Readable Zone) exactly. The MRZ is the two-line zone of angle-bracketed text at the bottom of the passport photo page. When an applicant enters only their first and last name on the eVisa form but the passport MRZ shows a middle name, the officer reviewing the documents flags the mismatch as Amendment Required.
