Vietnam Visa in 1 Day or 2 Days: Which Tier, and Why the 2-Day Is the Cheaper One

Home › Urgent Visa Services › Vietnam Visa in 1 Day or 2 Days

The 1-Day and 2-Day tiers share the same cutoff, and the cheaper one gives you more time. So the choice is not about speed. It is about how many Vietnamese working days you have before check-in closes, and whether a weekend sits in the middle. This page shows how to decide, with delivery examples and your cutoff in your own time zone.

Quick answer:

  • 1-Day $110 and 2-Day $100. The 2-Day tier is $10 cheaper and gives an extra working day
  • Both close at 11:00 Vietnam time on a weekday (00:00 EDT in New York, 15:00 AEDT in Sydney, 09:30 IST in India)
  • Flight tomorrow: the 1-Day tier. Flight in 2 to 4 days: the 2-Day tier. A Friday 2-Day submission arrives on Monday
  • Weekends and Vietnamese public holidays do not count. Missed the cutoff? A faster tier may still be open, or a boarding letter bridges check-in
  • Already applied and stuck? Do not reapply. Ask for a speed-up of the same file

Notice what the table says. The 2-Day tier is $10 cheaper ($100 against $110) and gives you an extra working day. So whenever you have two working days before check-in closes, the 2-Day tier is the better choice. The 1-Day tier is for when you do not.

Both tiers run Monday to Friday during Vietnamese working hours. Weekends and Vietnamese public holidays do not count as working days. Multiple entry adds $25 to either tier.

When Does Each Tier Deliver?

Counting by the way the tiers are defined, a submission made on a weekday before the cutoff arrives like this:

Submitted on a weekday, before 11:00 Vietnam time1-Day arrives by2-Day arrives by
MondayMondayTuesday
TuesdayTuesdayWednesday
WednesdayWednesdayThursday
ThursdayThursdayFriday
FridayFridayMonday

A submission after the cutoff counts as the next working day. The Friday row is the one to watch: a Friday submission on the 2-Day tier arrives on Monday, because Saturday and Sunday are not working days. Ask support to confirm when your result is due.

The Same Cutoff in Your Time Zone

Both tiers close at 11:00 Vietnam time. Vietnam is UTC+7 all year with no daylight saving, so the cutoff moves only when your clocks change:

Where you areThe cutoff (11:00 Vietnam time) in your time
New York / Toronto00:00 EDT · 23:00 (prev. day) EST
Chicago / Dallas23:00 (prev. day) CDT · 22:00 (prev. day) CST
Los Angeles / Vancouver21:00 (prev. day) PDT · 20:00 (prev. day) PST

Where two times are shown, use summer or winter time as it applies today. Brisbane matches the AEST value. Weekday tiers run Monday to Friday only.

How Many Working Days Do You Really Have?

Count Vietnamese working days between your submission and the moment check-in closes (often 45 to 60 minutes before an international departure, so check your airline). Then pick:

  • Two or more working days: the 2-Day tier.
  • One working day, and you can submit before the cutoff: the 1-Day tier.
  • The cutoff has passed: a faster tier, if one is still open (see the table below).
  • A weekend or public holiday sits in the window: add a working day to your plan, or use the weekend batch.

If you have missed the 1-Day or 2-Day cutoff

After 16:30Only the 30–60 minute tier, if its cutoff allows. Confirm on WhatsApp

Applying From the US, Canada, Australia or India

The cutoff is always 11:00 Vietnam time, so what differs is where it lands in your day. In the US and Canada it falls around midnight or the evening before, so aim to submit during the previous afternoon. In India it falls at 09:30 in the morning, and in Australia in the afternoon. A Friday evening in the US is already Saturday in Vietnam, so a Friday evening submission does not catch a weekday tier.

Already Applied and Still Processing?

Do not submit a second application. A duplicate under the same passport can hold both files and turns a short wait into a long one. Ask for a speed-up of the application you already have.

  • Send WhatsApp +84 947 754 252 the registration code (format E260705…), the email registered on evisa.gov.vn, and your flight details to Vietnam.
  • We may also ask for a photo of your passport photo page, to verify that the application is yours.
  • Support looks at the file first. If it is correct, it is escalated. If an error is found, it is corrected first.

See wait, speed up or restart for how to decide.

What Commonly Delays a 1-Day or 2-Day Application

  • A middle name missing from the form, which does not match the machine-readable zone of the passport.
  • An iPhone HEIC photo instead of a JPEG.
  • A transit hub (ICN, NRT, SIN) entered as the entry port instead of the Vietnamese airport.
  • The departure date entered instead of the date you land in Vietnam.
  • A Friday submission that runs into the weekend.

About the boarding letter: it is a letter from us confirming that your e-visa application is in process. It is not a visa, and whether an airline accepts it is the airline’s decision, so we cannot guarantee it. Your approved e-visa is still needed at Vietnamese immigration. See what a boarding letter can and cannot do.

Our Refund Policy

Our refund policy: 100% refund if we cannot complete your visa, or if we do not complete it within the timeframe we committed to. Read the conditions in our Terms & Conditions, and confirm the price, the time and the refund in writing on WhatsApp before you pay. No agency controls Vietnamese immigration’s decision or timing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the 1-Day and 2-Day Vietnam e-visa?

They share the same 11:00 Vietnam-time cutoff. The 1-Day tier ($110) is delivered within the same Vietnamese working day, and the 2-Day tier ($100) within two. The 2-Day tier is cheaper and gives more buffer, so choose it if you have two working days. Choose the 1-Day tier if your flight is tomorrow.

Why is the 2-Day tier cheaper than the 1-Day tier?

Because it needs less dedicated handling. You trade speed for time, so the less time pressure you are under, the less you pay.

What is the cutoff for the 1-Day tier in the US?

11:00 Vietnam time, which is 00:00 EDT (23:00 (prev. day) EST) in New York, and 23:00 the previous day CDT in Chicago, and 21:00 (prev. day) PDT the previous day in Los Angeles. Aim to submit during the previous afternoon.

My flight is tomorrow. Should I choose 1-Day or a faster tier?

Check the time in Vietnam. Before 11:00 on a weekday, the 1-Day tier is open. After it, look at the table above: 5-Hour until 13:00, 2.5-Hour until 15:30, 1.5-Hour until 16:30. After that, a boarding letter can bridge check-in.

Does the weekend count as processing days?

No. Vietnamese immigration processes on weekdays. A Friday submission on the 2-Day tier arrives on Monday. For a weekend flight, use the weekend batch or ask for a boarding letter.

My e-visa is processing and my flight is in 1 to 2 days. What do I do?

Do not reapply. Send support the registration code, the registered email and your flight number. A duplicate can hold both files. A boarding letter can bridge check-in, but it is not a visa.

Can I get a 1-Day or 2-Day e-visa from Australia, India or Canada?

Yes. Both tiers are available to every eligible nationality. The cutoff is always 11:00 Vietnam time: about 15:00 AEDT in Sydney, 09:30 IST in India, and 00:00 EDT in Toronto.

What is the refund policy?

100% refund if we cannot complete your visa, or if we do not complete it within the timeframe we committed to. Confirm the price, the time and the refund in writing on WhatsApp before you pay.
